At the intersection of Tomiko Road and the Ontario Northland Railway crossing stand what remains of the town of Tomiko. What is left are a few occupied houses of what was once the home to more than 350 mill workers, railroad men, loggers, and a few farmers. This was in 1906. With the passage of time, the population decreased to sixty-three by 1921 and to nine by 1961. Tomiko today is a pair of houses and a railway maintenance shack. Submitted by: Henry Chenoweth
