REMAINS: Yeovil’s general store still stands at what was once a busy intersection. |
| Yeovil was only forty-one years old when it
became another of the many lost hamlets of the Queen’s Bush. Its population
never exceeded a hundred soles. But while it lived, it had a school, a general
store, a Methodist church, a sawmill, and a feed mill. Stages departed daily
for nearby towns charging a fare of 25 cents. |
