| Cedar's post office was established September 25, 1895 and discontinued July 11, 1911. Mining activity in Cedar began in the early 1870's even though the post office wasn't established until late 1895. There were probably more mines than people in Cedar as there was at least two separate mining companies but only about 200 residents. Today there are extensive rock ruins in the shadows of the Hualapais Mountains. |
