Copper Creek's post office was established March 6, 1907 and discontinued August 31, 1942. Copper Creek, situated in the Galiuro Mountains, consisted of about 50 buildings and about 500 people. There was a physician, post office, stage line, mansion, and many other buildings. The town was built in tiers because it is in a canyon. Today, much of the town site remains. The mansion is up the creek, you have to walk.
