WOODRUFF

NAME: Woodruff
COUNTY: Navajo
ROADS: 2WD
LEGAL INFO: T16N, R22E
CLIMATE: Warm winter, hot summer
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Anytime
COMMENTS: Another flood ravaged town, today a semi-ghost.
REMAINS: Many original and abandoned buildings among current buildings. UPDATE:I live here in Woodruff and yes we still have a post office, matter of fact it's brand new, aside from the post office we have a church, and library (was the old school) I believe current population is roughly 177..the cows could overtake us at anytime though as they roam the streets. Rachel Rutherford.
Although not founded by Mormons, this town was sold to them in the 1880s. Like other towns on the Little Colorado River, Woodruff suffered from regular floods. Its post office was established in 1880 and discontinued??
