NAME: Lucky S mining town
COUNTY: Plumas
ROADS: 2WD
GRID: 1
CLIMATE: Snow in Winter, Beautiful Summers
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Late spring, Summer, Fall.
COMMENTS: No current residence, From Taylorsville take Beckwourth Genesee rd East Past Genesee, then take Indian Creek rd toward Antelope lake.Turn North on Hungry Creek rd.(27N09)then left on 27N53, then Right on 27N51. Town is about 5 mile North of this turn. Plumas National Forest map a big help. 2WD rds, maintained in summer.Possibly becoming Histrical landmark. GPS 40 9.83 120 44.96
REMAINS: 7 + buildings, 3 story hotel, log cabin.
Histroy unknown, Gold mining town Possibly abandoned in 50's judging by Magazines and Newspapers I found. Several mines in area, very unsafe. I visited it in fall of 2001, Still the best uninhabited Ghost town I've seen. Submitted by: Michael Scott Johnston
