Mt. Bullion once had over 2000 residents who first started working the placer deposits in 1850. After the placer deposits played out they found veins of gold in quartz and continued mining. The Princeton mine once produced over $4,000,000 and was located just south of the town. Today, Trabucco's store is still open, the Princeton salon and Mount Bullion School buildings remain.
