Located about eight miles north of Ward, Allen�s Park could have become a fairly important town. News reports 1n 1897 said �the town was filling up fast with many stores and hotels.� It had plans to become one of the largest towns in the state of Colorado. Shortly after the turn of the century, the mines petered out and that was the end of Allen�s Park. Submitted by Henry Chenoweth.
