Pie Plant was part of the activity at Dorchester but had a life of its own. The Pie Plant mill was used to mill ores from the mines along the Taylor River. In addition there was some lead and silver mining in the immediate vicinity of Pie Plant.In later years it became a cow camp. Submitted by Henry Chenoweth.
