CLIMATE: Lots of snow in winter, nice summers
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Summer, or winter(for the adventurous)

Built on the side of a hill near timberline, Pittsburg was prone to snowslides which made it a dangerous place to live. The Augusta mine was a nearby mainstay and was said to have a vein from 10 to 30 feet wide. Today a few cabins remain.
