COMMENTS:
Claytonville is 8 miles south and one mile east of Hiawatha, Kansas. Easiest way is to drive south on US-73 to the Radio Station (KNZA). Claytonville is one mile east of KNZA,and can be reached by following the section line road around the section (all gravel roads) either north of south of the radio station. REMAINS: Cemetery, still in use and accessible. |
| Claytonville apparently never flourished. It was established in the 1870's. On the east-west road just north of Claytonville, there is a farm which is something of a museum and research station for Windmills. Submitted by: Jim Turner |
