several residents, highway 6, east edge of Hastings, turn south on Showboat road, drive about 10 miles and there is a sign. greenhouse and some small businesses, and if you drive only 6 miles and turn east you will come to a lost ghost town, with the name Springs in it but I do not know the whole name. City Hall is restored although the rest of the village may not be. It is a beautifull drive. Wonderfull to walk through. REMAINS: City Hall, springs, bridge, maybe more, |
| I do not know the history but the local residents may know. I found this lost village through word of mouth and Pauline is also very nice to visit, the school building is partially destroyed by recent tornado. Please visit these two villages. Submitted by: Donna Matthews |
