The town never had a post office. It existed in the 1880s and was little known outside the Burro Mountains where it was situated in a grove of Oak Trees. In December of 1882, the town had a population of around three hundred people, mostly miners and wood choppers. How long Oak Grove lived and when it died is not known and there is no trace of the town today. Courtesy Henry Chenoweth.
