BEST TIME TO VISIT: Summer through Fall
COMMENTS: Located 10 miles southeast of Contact. Completely abandoned.
REMAINS: Headframes, collapsed buildings, many stone ruins.
District was established in 1871 around Blanchard Mountain. Many small mines worked during the next 20 years. Gradually absorbed by the Contact district.
