District was established in 1871 around Blanchard Mountain. Many small mines worked during the next 20 years. Gradually absorbed by the Contact district. As many as 100 lived here at one time and mine ruins, stone cabins, and other interesting fare abound in a six square mile area. Submitted by: Shawn Hall @ nvghosttowns.com
