BAILEY

NAME: Bailey
COUNTY: Lander
ROADS: 4WD
GRID: 1
CLIMATE: Hot summer, cool winter.
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Anytime.
COMMENTS: Interesting country.
REMAINS: Nothing.

Bailey was a three-car siding on the Nevada Central Railroad. While the railroad was being built, Bailey was used as a base camp for workers. Enough people lived there in 1880 to warrant a post office. The office remained active until November 1887 when five miles of track were washed out and Bailey faded into obscurity. Nothing remains at the site.
