1923 was the year Cleve Creek was formed with no more than 15 people. The mine operated on a small scale until 1926 when it closed after producing only $15,000. The mine was idle until 1951 when it was reopened and operated for the next 5 years. No production has taken place since that time. There is one wooden building that remains along with some mine ruins. Camping areas are located all along Cleve Creek.
