Tolicha was one of several mining camps that formed in the Pahute Mesa area during the early 1900s. Although there was some mining the district remained fairly quiet until 1917 when a number of large mining companies leased claims from owners and began operations. By September, there were forty residents in Tolicha and mining activity continued at a brisk and profitable pace. Some mines were worked until the early 1940s. Only a few structures ever went up at Tolicha, one of which was a saloon. Today, the site is part of the Nellis Air Force Base Bombing and Gunnery Range.
