WARM SPRINGS

NAME: Warm Springs
COUNTY: Nye
ROADS: 2WD
GRID: 1
CLIMATE: Hot summer, cool winter.
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Anytime.
COMMENTS: Nice Location
REMAINS: Many original buildings.

A small stone house next to the warm, soothing springs was the first building in Warm Springs. It was built in 1866. The site originally was a stopping place for freighters and stages traveling to Eureka and Elko. It was a place where tired and weary travelers could stop and enjoy the rejuvenating waters of Warm Springs. Nobody lives at Warm Springs today. A number of old buildings from Warm Springs early days still remain. The springs still flow and there are several huts where the traveler can enjoy a warm dip in solitude.
