WHITE

NAME: White
COUNTY: Eureka
ROADS: 4WD
GRID: 1
CLIMATE: Hot summer, cool winter.
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Anytime.
COMMENTS: Interesting country.
REMAINS: Quite a bit.

White was a small ranching settlement in the 1880s that served as a post office for those living in Diamond Valley. No more then 15 people ever lived in White. The post office was discontinued when the ranch was sold to Robert Bailey. The Bailey ranch continued to operate until the 1960s when it was abandoned. The remains at White are quite extensive and show the style of a turn-of-the-century ranching operation.
