TEDDY BEAR

NAME: Teddy Bear
COUNTY: Pennington
ROADS: 2WD
GRID: 2
CLIMATE: Snow in winter-hot in summer.
BEST TIME TO VISIT:
Summer.
COMMENTS: Worth the trip.
REMAINS: Not a whole lot but a lot of scenery.

In the center of one of the oldest and most active mining districts in the Hills is the town of Teddy Bear. Of no real importance in itself, the drive to Teddy Bear is not only very scenic and beautiful, but is littered with relics of all kinds from the days when mining was at its height. Drive up Castle Creek from Castleton (near Mystic) to Teddy Bear and enjoy the sights. Submitted by: Henry Chenoweth.
