The town of Copperfield was located up Bingham Canyon. The town site was consumed by the immense and ongoing mining operations of the Kennecott Copper Corporation. First called Upper Bingham later called Copperfield because of a large copper deposit under it. The town was built for the US&R and Utah Copper employees.Submitted by: Eugene H.
