Hi Larry. While you are to be congratulated on your difficult achievement, you must also be warned that any digging around at ghost towns, or other historical sites is against the law, and
punishable by fines and/or jail time. Folks with metal detectors have asked the same question. The only exception is a site that may be located on private property, in which case the owner's permission must first be obtained. Good luck.
