: Lewis, prices are what the market will bear, where the seller is located and how much stock was originally put on the market. Obviously, the more popular or older the ghost town (such as Virginia City, Bodie or Rhyolite, the more they will cost. Places that issued a ton of stock, certificates run much less due to their availability. Rare or very old stock will run much higher.

: I don't personally collect, although I have a few from trades. Friends of mine do collect stock in earnest and have paid as little as 50 cents, as much as $500. Most seem to run between $10 and $100.
