I hope you didn't think I had contested your visit Millspaugh, which is not the case. I apologize if it may have sounded that way.

It does and can happen that people get inside military lands with or without the tresspasser's knowledge. There are sections of China Lake that have no fencing, although the perimeter is liberally signed.

I know of several people who have gotten inside China Lake Naval Weapons Center without getting caught, and a couple who did get caught. Mostly the military escorted the unwanted visitors out and let it go at that. I hear that they can and will ticket or arrest you, depending on how close you were to sensitive sites.

Visiting Millspaugh, or any historical site within China Lake (or any military reservation) would be a treat. Sometimes I wish I was old enough to visit such sites before the military took out such large chunks of public land and locked them all up.
