I recently read and highly recommend three books on the mining history of Eastern California.
The Silver Seekers, a brand new book by Remi Nadeau, Mining Camp Days, by Emil Billeb, and another new book, Death Valley To Yosemite:Frontier Ming Camps and Ghost towns. The latter contains an excellent chapter on the mining camp of Beveridge.
