I believe you are thinking of Summit Station which was a stage stop between Virginia City and Carson City in and about 1860. It's actual location is now the Mound House between Dayton and Carson City. Summit City was a suburb of Ellsworth, west of Ione, during the 1860's. Summit Camp was a stage stop SW of CC during the 1870's.
