Pick up an Inyo National Forest map at the White Mountain Ranger District station in downtown Bishop (located just south of K-Mart). It lists the larger mines, of which there are many.

The Blind Spring Hill holds the largest collection of mines, but exploration would be limited to foot transportation and a cautious step. Roads are long cut by flashfloods of long ago. The entire upland mesa east of US6 between Laws and Benton Station contains many mines.

If you have 4x4, a visit to Montgomery City would be worthwhile. Buena Vista, Nevada is also within a short drive.
