Does anyone know what's going on with Tropico Mine near Rosamond, California? I cruised by the town early in the year and the rather extensive mine ruins were blockaded, with signs suggesting a movie crew was at work. My only source giving information about the town is rather dated, and suggests that the area is open to the public, with mine tours and the whole deal. Was the land sold to a private party in recent years?
