The easiest way is via Surprise Canyon. If you want to do it the hard way for fun, personal reasons and excersise, then any other way you choose is the way in.
If you go via Surprise, take extra beer for George & Rocky (or a case of canned food, firewood, anything else you think useful for someone living out here). You'll know them -- they live at the end of the road.
