To go along w/Texas Jess' question...I once read in a book that"St. Joe was(ghost town in Idaho) was considered an even rougher camp that those in the Yukon." But I have failed to find much documentation on it. The info in "Up the Swiftwater" was very vague and tended to focus more on Avery!!!
