There are eight (8) Ghost towns in south weat Colorado within 14 miles of Silverton CO they are Animas Forks-accessible by 2wd, Eureka-accessible by 2wd, Howardsville-accessible by 2wd, Ironton-accessible by 4wd, Middleton-accessible by 2wd, Mineral point-4wd required, Old Ophir-4wd, Red Mountain town-4wd. If anyone is interested in a day or weekend trip I would like to here from you.
