: My partner and I walked into it 2 years ago. Very narrow, beautiful canyon to get in. Several buildings still standing and various mining debris. My parner went back this last year with his wife and the canyon had changed considerably since our last visit due to flash flooding but the town is still there. Park near the power plant and walk in. Take your camera. It's about a two mile walk in. We think you may be able to get from the opposite side of the range through Coal Canyon but it's much further. We may try that way next summer. There is info on it in Stanley Pahers clssic book.
We rode our mountain bikes up that canyon, pretty
much thru the creek. And rode back out over the top
(west)down thru kitten springs. The road was pretty
good the other direction.
Do you know any info on the town?
