Cerro Gordo, CA one of the best (evenif a bed & breakfast type set up now); Bodie is a given (even if Rangers do live there--thank GAWD!!!!);
Aurora, NV for its cemetery!; Coloma, CA (where Marshall discovered gold in CA), but there are not many TRUE ghost towns around, like in Nev. and CO and Ariz. Most were vandalized and stripped by "collectors".
