Sorry, I'm trying to figure out how this works, & accidentally repeated your message. In regard to the weather in Cripple Creek, it is at a very high elevation and can be cold even in the summer. I wouldn't recommend a winter visit. Concerning Anaconda, I haven't visited the area lately, but I talked to a friend of mine recently who used to live nearby (in Victor). A mining company has been strip mining all of the old tailings, and apparently Anaconda is now covered up by a leach field. Sorry-- it used to be such an interesting place, but not any more.
