Check with Dennis Casebier(the offical historian)of the Mojave Desert Heritage & Culural Assoc. This is associated with the Friends of the Mojave Road organization started by Dennis. They are located in Goff's, just down the road from Vanderbilt. They have amassed tons of historical information on this area and made it avaiable to researchers. If you go, be sure to check out the mining relics there too.
