: I'm heading into Utah this week and thinking about stopping in Frisco (southwest Utah, posted on this site). Since the town is a little ways off of the main drag, I'm wondering if it's worth the trek. Judging from the information and photos on this site, the spot is pretty spectacular, but there is also a note that some of the ruins are marked "no trespassing."
: If anyone has visited the spot recently, I'd love to have your input about the town's accessibility. Thanks!
Frisco is right next to and on the north side of a secondary highway not far from the Nevada border (west of Milford, UT). If you're in the area, I'd recommend a visit. Pretty cool wood frame and stone ruins, charcoal kilns, good photo opps., etc. and a substantial mining ruin on the hill above the townsite - which may be where you'll find no trespassing signs. Sorry to say that I havent been there since Jan. 1987, so my info is hardly current. Access back then was easy - right off the highway. Good luck.
