Jenni,
I'm formerly from New Mexico and have visited many of the
ghosttowns in the Black Range. Some interesting
ghosttowns in that area to visit are Hillsboro
,Kingston and Mogollon. If I recall correctly,
the Black Range Museum is located in Hillsboro.
A great place to camp is a CCC campground located
near "the Catwalk" which was also the site of
another ghosttown (I don't remember the name of
it) but William Bonney's (Billy the Kid's) father
once had a blacksmith shop there. Anyway, the CCC
campground is located near Glenwood. I don't know
if there is any charge to camp there now, but at
the time that I was there about ten years ago,
it was free. Other ghosttowns and sites in the
area to visit are: Pinos Altos, the Gila Cliff
Dwellings National Monument and the Ghosttown of
Shakespeare which is South of Lordsburg. I hope
that this is of help to you in planning your trip.

: I am hoping someone could give me some information on the black range area. From what I understand there is a very big museum with all kinds of things from the ghost towns in that area. I really want to do some camping in that area this year and want to visit this museum. If any body has any information on this please let me know. Thanks. Jenni
