CLIMATE: typical Alberta weather
BEST TIME TO VISIT: there is nothing left to visit
COMMENTS: There is nothing left. Dinant was once a thriving town and was well known in Alberta for the coal mine. However when the mine closed the town dwindled away. The last remains, an Alberta Wheat Pool elevator was moved in approximately 1965. A monument comemerating the once active town has been placed on Highway 833 about 7 miles north of Camrose, This monument does not stand on the previous town site, the original town site is approximately 1 mile east down a dusty gravel road
