Minnehaha actually consists of many towns, Marion, McCormick, Patterson, Taylor, and Button just to name a few, all in the same location on the Minnehaha flats. Each served as a gateway to the Bradshaw Mountains and some only consisted of one house. A post office was started in 1880 and during the 1890's the post office moved to the Button Mine until its closing in 1910. Today there are caretakers with dogs at the site of Minnehaha and the mine and buildings remain intact.
