Nowatney was originally a terpentine disstillery and train station located at mile marker 835.1 of the _____, which is around the modern day intersection of Skipper Road and Nebraska Avenue along the railroad tracks. The location can be proven by the split in the railroad tracks behind the Flying Cloud mobile home park at 139th and Nebraska. The second railroad track is unmaintained and is partially grown over, but meets back up with the main track just south of Skipper. On the north side of Skipper is a dirt road which runs alongside the railroad, possibly further evidence of the approximate location of the Nowatney railroad station. About 0.6 miles south of Nowatney along the railroad tracks was the Flora railroad station estimated to be located north of 131st Avenue along the railroad, possibly evidenced by some debris and railroad track-like lines splitting off from the main track.
