COMMENTS: In early 1900's my grandpa worked at a gold mine in Estelle. The gold played out and Estelle became a ghost town. Thisw info was passed down to me by grandpa's daughter.
REMAINS: There is not much left to see of the town itself. Estelle Cemetary is about 200/300 yards north of the entrance pictured.
Estelle served the defunct Alabama and Georgia Railroad carrying supplies to the area and carrying various minerals from the mines and quarries to Chatanooga Tennessee. Submitted by Jim Pate.
