REMAINS: Catholic Church about 20 houses and K of C Club
The town was formed around 1900, by German-Hungarian imigrants as a farm community. The town included St Elizabeth Catholic Church and School, grades 1-12. Business included. Hotel, Grocery Store, Bowling Alley and a Cheese processing factory that supported the local dairy farmers. And a population over 100. I do not know when the Hotel and Grocery store closed down but the bowling alley is now the K of C Club. The Catholic School closed down around the late 1960s when a public grade school was built and the Cheese factory closed in the late 1970s. And the Public school closed in the mid 1990s. Today the church still holds weekly mass and the K of C club bar is still in business and the population is less than 20. Submitted by: Gerald Schiwal
