COMMENTS: Acme. 25 miles ne of roswell. On us 70. Just adding some info on the ghost town of Acme, New Mexico. I believe it was located very close to Frazier (over by the railroad tracks). Acme. Former stock raising community on us 70 and at&sf rr, 25 mi ne of roswell. Named for acme gypsum cement co., which in 1906, when high freight rates caused the plant to close down. Post office from 1906 to 1946. Submitted by: Samuel W McWhorter
