Redlake. No remarks except that it is an abandonded settlement. Submitted by: Samuel W McWhorter My great-grandparents homesteaded/started Red Lake, New Mexico. I have my great-grandmother's journal from when they lived there (approx. 1904). They had to walk pretty far to get water, and eventually everyone left because of the lack of water. Their names were Ezekiel and Birdie McFarland. |
