Buckskin, Humboldt County, Nevada Buckskin Mine was founded in 1906 high atop Buckskin Mountain. The Buckskin National Gold Mining Company built a large mill shortly after, but it was unsuccessful. Numerous leasers attempted to make the mine pay after, but with little success. In 1930 the Nevada Lucky Tiger Company attempted to work the ground and build a mill, but it all went up in flames in 1930. Since then the area has been quiet. Submitted by: David A. Wright
