CLIMATE: Hot summer, cool winter.
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Anytime.

REMAINS: Not much left.

Only limited mining activity with limited results took place at Georges Canyon from 1903 to 1934. In 1909 there were sixty living in the district working different claims in different locations in the canyon. By 1912 only four remained two of which were the Farcher brothers who continued to work their mine until 1931 when they stopped work. By that time the mine had produced little more than $12,000 in gold and silver. Georges Canyon last saw any mining activity in 1933 that ended in 1934 after failing to find satisfactory ore. There are few remains left to show activity ever took place in the canyon.
