It is said the site is a definite must, and is well worth the hair-raising drive to get there. But it is four-wheel drive territory at best. The station was active between the 1870s and 1880s on the old Belmont-Tybe-Eureka stage line. The old stage station is in excellent condition in addition to which there are a few old corrals.
