Initial discoveries in 1905 led to the formation of a small camp that was soon abandoned. In 1920, the claim was leased for $70,000 and was worked until 1922 when it was released for $60,000. The company had only limited success and folded in the early 1930s. Little else ever took place at Quartz Mountain. It also is now inside the Nellis Air Force Base Bombing and Gunnery Range.
