| This town sprung up and offered a lot of promise until the town grew large enough a water fued ensued. The water on the West side of town was pure and clear where the water on the East side was filled with Gypsum particles. Instead of piping the water from the West to the East, a battle began. In 1904 there were 76 establishments. By 1909 there were 43 and the decline was on. As time passed the highways passed the town by and now is mostly a retirement community.
