Citra Indian Territory At the time my Grandfather was born this was District 15 Choctaw Nation And at the time his father James Napoleon Yates was Postmaster there it was District 15 Choctaw Nation.Today Citra is in the Chickasaw nation.Citra --In the southwestern corner of Hughes County, a postoffice was there from April 10,1894 to May 29,1931. The word is a prefix meaning'' On This Side'and the name is from the circumstance that the site is on the east side of The Choctaw Nation boundary. Submitted by: June Yates
